“We have a running joke inside our household who does the most laundry. In early September Bryce made a bet on who did more laundry and even had a point system planned. Whoever lost had to take the other to the cities for a night out. Being very competitive, I did laundry day and night. It was quite obvious by mid September that Bryce had no intention of doing any laundry. One day in late September he accepted defeat and asked if he could take me out on Saturday night. We were on our way to “the cities” and he took an exit in Rochester. Knowing Bryce, I didn’t ask any questions as he likes to surprise me and has since day one. We pulled into Northbrook Shopping Center and I figured we were just going to go to Fiesta Mexicana, one of our favorites. It didn’t occur to me that Bryce was nervous until he was having trouble parking his truck. He kept driving forward then reversing. He finally parked and said, “You need to bear with me here..” He took my hand and said, “This is the first place I saw you and I never want to live without you by my side.” He pulled the ring out and said asked me to marry him. I replied with a dumbfounded look and said, “are you serious?”
That night was truly one of the most special moments of my life as he proposed in the very spot that we first met.” – Susie
To say we had a fun time during their engagement session would be an understatement. We walked around Stillwater, MN. (which is a really great town) and had a ton of fun taking these shots. Susie and Bryce had one request. “We don’t want pictures where we are just smiling at the camera.” Well, that was simple. I just let them do their thing. Enjoy each other–laugh, kiss and be in love. We even stumbled upon an ice castle that was closed up for the season.
