It was a gorgeous spring day for a wedding. Kayla + Colin wed at the gorgeous church that Kayla had attended since age three. She had her first communion + and completed her confirmation there–all with the same priest that married them. I’ll be honest, I normally prefer outdoor ceremonies. I’m a huge lover of natural light and church lighting can be pretty harsh sometimes. However, this church was stunning. It was bright and full of amazing light. It had beautiful hanging, glass decor + was lined with stained glass windows.
Most of you know that I’m a lover of details. To me, It’s a huge part of story-telling. For instance, Kayla’s sister made her veil (I know right?!) and her beaded purse was passed down from her great grandma. Those details are a huge part of her story. The floral is always my favorite. Kayla’s bouquet was incredible. It embodied the essence of spring. It was lush with pale pinks, greens, creams + succulents. I about died when I saw it. That of course was after I saw Kayla. Her open back dress was stunning. Kayla is that girl. She’s not only beautiful + smart but she’s also so sweet. They are both kind and down to earth– a dream couple to work with. They trusted my vision and were a ton of fun. I swear, I’m blessed with the BEST clients. Also, any bridal party that embraces fanny packs, confetti + champagne are all fine by me!
